About Me

The Plant Family: Callie, Joseph, Sara, and Daniel
Daniel
Plant grew up in Lakewood, Colorado where he worked with his father in
the family commercial HVAC business. At 19, he entered the Financial
Services industry as a teller with Empire Savings & Loan and began
learning about consumer lending. He met and married his wife, Callie,
and, at 22, was offered a position as Branch Manager with American
Savings and Loan in Wichita, Kansas. This position allowed him to expand
his knowledge of lending and the banking industry, as well as honing
his customer service skills. In order to better serve his clients, he
earned his life insurance license so that he could help his customers
expand their investment options.
In October of 1990, Daniel, Callie, and their 2 year old daughter moved to Elk Grove, California so Daniel could begin as a loan officer with World Savings Bank. Their son was born in 1992, and Daniel began pursuing a dream of becoming an independent mortgage broker realizing that in this capacity, he could best serve his growing list of clients. This dream was realized in 2000 with the opening of Landmark, and both the company and Daniel became well-known for quality of service and integrity in the lending field.
During the 19 years he resided in Elk Grove, Daniel personally funded over $365 million in loans, and helped numerous young couples realize the dream of home ownership. Knowing that doing his best for his clients required continual learning, Daniel earned his certification as a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist (CMPS) in June of 2006.
In July of 2009, his wife completed her education and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Accounting. With jobs becoming scarce in California, and knowing that technology allowed him to work from anywhere, Daniel began looking at other areas. The family eventually decided on the Houston area, both for its economic outlook and abundance of new experiences. They all settled in a wonderful community just west of Houston called Katy. As more lenders have embraced current technology, Daniel has been able to continue assisting and consulting his 800+ clients in the greater Elk Grove/Sacramento area.
Daniel is a nationally licensed lender, has obtained his Texas license, and retained his California broker license. With over 25 years in the Financial Services industry, he has a unique perspective and vast knowledge base which he draws on to assist his clients make the best possible financial decision for their future. He believes in giving back by being active in the community, and held positions in the Rotary Club of Elk Grove, Elk Grove Optimists Club, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Elk Grove Teen Center and the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce.
Currently Daniel is a member of the Rotary Club of Katy and serves as an Ambassador for the Katy Chamber of Commerce.
